Dick Moberg has been in neuromonitoring research and product development since the late 70’s. He got his first taste of neuroscience from Dr. William Collins, Chairman of Neurosurgery, at Yale University. Dr. Collin’s son was Dick’s roommate at a nearby boarding school. Through this relationship, Dick’s interest in neuromonitoring began and he never left the field.
Dick moved to Philadelphia for what was meant to be a quick four years in engineering at Penn. After continuing in graduate school at Penn, attending several years in medical school, inventing products, and starting companies, four years turned to fifty.
Dick is now enjoying his golden years but is still looking for the pot of gold. He has always been more focused on doing interesting things rather than making a lot of money. He realizes now this might not have been the right focus, but he couldn’t be happier. Early-stage companies are his forte. He thrives in an environment of uncertainty. He wakes up every morning wanting to change the world, and he’s honored to work with such amazing colleagues who can help make that happen.
