SaAMS
Boston, MA || June 5-6, 2024
We attended the Software as an Autonomous Medical System (SaAMS) meeting in Boston, June 5-6, hosted by the Medical Device Plug-and-Play (MDPnP) group at MGH. Dick has known the founder of MDPnP, Dr. Julian Goldman, for many years and this was the 20th anniversary of the group that has spearheaded the need for device connectivity standards. Dick served as a facilitator at the meeting. Attendees were from academia, government, and industry. COL Pamplin, Matt Quinn, and others were in attendance from the military.

NNS
San Francisco, CA || June 9-12, 2024
The National Neurotrauma Society meeting (NNS 2024) was in San Francisco this year, June 9-12, where the attendance exceeded pre-COVID numbers. There were some good sessions on the information infrastructure necessary for the management of neurotrauma patients. We met Jamie MoCrazy, professional X-Games skier, who suffered a TBI in 2015. She was one of their lived experience keynote speakers.
