See The Future of Neurocritical Care in Seattle

Building on the theme of this years’ Neurocritical Care Society meeting, our booth, The Innovation Hub, will provide a look into the future of neurocritical care, not only with our products but those of partners and friends. Wander through our large 20 x 20 space to see the role that AI, analytics, monitoring, and data will play in the care of patients. Six distinct areas will show you the future.

Clara ™ AI in Neurocritical Care

We are introducing our AI Assistant at NCS called Clara, named after Clara Barton (a nurse who founded the American Red Cross). We like to think she’s the daughter of Claude. See how an AI Agent can use your voice commands to abstract the insight from your data and marry it to your hospital policies and procedures. Learn how Clara has been designed to run within strict safety guardrails to build trust.

Analytics Studio

We demonstrate the value of an analytics sandbox for your real-time and post hoc data analysis. Open a Jupyter Hub, attach a data stream, select some algorithms or create your own and start to create and discover. We will show an application of Clara attached to your monitored data.

Connectivity Solutions

See a working ICU monitoring system with data collected by the Moberg Clinical Platform and our Device Hub.

Technology Showcase

We have collected a variety of technologies and works-in-progress that will enable the future of neurocritical care and will be showing them at this table. The following is a preliminary list:

  • Non-Invasive ICP Monitoring: A project funded by the US Army to develop a non-invasive ICP monitoring using optical technology.

  • The TBI Navigator: A smartphone app for brain injury assessment and status trending in austere environments.

  • Device-Data Interoperability: Demonstrates the unique interoperability of a device and data streams using the new Hemedex Hemodynamic Monitoring & Visualization System (HMVS) and MCP.

  • Brain-Computer Interface: Axoft will show their latest BCI device and potential connectivity to MCP.

  • BRIDGES: An intelligent clinical middleware engine designed to standardize disparate intake records and eliminate critical latency during emergent neurological inter-hospital transfers.

  • Human-AI Collaboration for Epilepsy Management: Recently published in Nature Medicine.

  • AI-Driven ICP Prediction: Development of a new ML model driven ICP prediction method.

Innovation Hub Theater

We will have a variety of informal mini-talks (5 minutes) followed by discussion at one of our application tables. This will be a great opportunity to meet and discuss the future with some of the leaders in the field. The schedule is as follows:

Wednesday, October 21
Exhibits Open 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM

  • 9:30 AM Dr. DaiWai Olson – Clara, My AI Assistant
  • 10:00 AM Dr. Peter Smielewski – Cerebrovascular Dynamics

Exhibits Open 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM

  • 3:30 PM Dr. Jed Hartings – Why You Should Monitor Spreading Depolarizations
  • 3:45 PM Tony Okeke – AI Agents in Neurocritical Care

Thursday, October 22
Exhibits Open 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM

  • 9:30 AM Dr. Nils Petersen – Autoregulation-guided Management

Exhibits Open 11:00 AM – 1:30 PM

  • 11:45 AM Farah Kamar – Intro to Optical Brain Monitoring

Exhibits Open 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM

  • 3:45 PM TBD

Platform Demos

The informatics software that ties all of the above together is the Moberg Clinical Platform (MCP). It connects data to algorithms in a way no other platform can. Don’t leave the booth without seeing a demo of MCP at one of the two dedicated stations. Talk to us about bringing the technology to your institution whether for research or clinical use.
